About Quan’s House

Welcome to Quan’s House! We are a nonprofit committed to helping teenagers successfully transition from adolescence to adulthood. Based in Dayton, we are a group home that seeks to be an oasis of morals and life skills for teenagers in Ohio.

Quan’s House was established in 2022 by Quaneshia Flemming, a philanthropist with a deep conviction to transform the lives of young people through holistic empowerment and development aid. We are a program designed for displaced youth in the foster system.

We strive to be a leading organization spearheading a community with responsible and passionate adults.

What We Do

We understand that transition from adolescence to adulthood can be challenging, especially for youths from low-income and marginalized communities. The obstacles to independent living include occasional family conflicts, irresponsible behaviors, lack of sense of direction, failure to succeed in school, difficulties in relationships, and inability to meet basic needs. A lack of support during this stage can exacerbate isolation and anxiety and cultivate irresponsible adulthood. We established Quan’s House to help them navigate these challenges.

We are committed to developing programs that give teenagers aged between 12 and 21 years the comprehensive tools, skills, and resources needed to achieve lasting success. We provide room and board to them in a family-oriented environment and ensure their basic needs are met. We give them access to individual counseling and mental health services. We work with state and local governmental entities and various independent and community organizations to access disadvantaged youth.

We also engage them in daily group meetings, life skills training and workshops, online educational support, job search, and weekly team-building activities. We believe that our approach is instrumental in encouraging them to become self-sufficient, build self-esteem and values, establish healthy relationship patterns, maintain positive mindsets, and maintain organized environments.
